We are a dynamic, forward thinking service with a passion for applying psychology for positive change.
Educational Psychologists work to raise achievement, to overcome barriers, improve access to learning and to promote social and emotional wellbeing.
But Flying Colours are different, we combine the well-established field of Educational Psychology with the rapidly evolving field of Positive Psychology, the result is Positive Educational Psychology:
Educational Psychology is the science of social, emotional, cognitive and academic development combined with an understanding of change processes and educational contexts.
Positive Psychology is the science of optimal human functioning including the factors that foster wellbeing, growth, flourishing and being the best you can be.
Through harnessing the strengths of these two disciplines we work to promote growth, wellbeing and achievement for all, by working individually and at the organisational level. For more information visit our Positive Psychology page.
Flying Colours undertake the full range of Educational Psychology work of the highest professional standard drawing on an evidence base and sound psychological theory and approaches.
We work holistically and collaboratively with a focus on solutions and facilitating understanding of individual differences, neurodiversity and the factors that positively impact on the lives of individuals so they can become the best version of themselves.
We are based in Flintshire, North Wales, and provide services across North Wales and NW England including Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham, Chester & Cheshire West, Liverpool and the Wirral. We can also cover areas of Cheshire East, Manchester, Shropshire and Lancashire.
