HAPPI Psychology

Helping Teachers & Pupils Thrive Together

HAPPI Psychology resources, grounded in Positive Psychology, Educational Psychology, and Positive Health have been created to empower both teachers and pupils so they can unlock their full potential, purpose, and lasting happiness.

For teachers: As a practicing Educational Psychologist I see teachers who are stressed, overwhelmed and suffering burnout. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Through HAPPI Psychology I support teachers and educators to improve their sense of wellness, life satisfaction and joy in their work so they can show up feeling energised and fulfilled in their role.

We both know that when teachers feel calm, supported, and confident, it creates a more positive and balanced learning environment where pupils can flourish.

For pupils: From anxiety to confidence, students deserve to feel inspired, motivated, and capable of progress. HAPPI Psychology helps students develop a positive mindset, improve focus, and experience a sense of purpose in school.

By building resilience and promoting positive moods, my approach reduces anxiety and helps learners experience more moments of achievement, boosting both their wellbeing and academic growth.

Let’s create a learning environment where everyone thrives.

“Turn to what makes life worth living, not just curtailing the disabling conditions of life, but to building the enabling conditions of life”

(Seligman et al, 2009)

The HAPPI Psychology Framework

HAPPI brings together the best of Positive and Educational Psychology and Positive Health to help educators and learners achieve their fullest potential.

HAPPI uses strategies, approaches and activities that have been proven effective through research.

HAPPI is for individual teachers, school support staff, whole schools, Educational Psychologists and Local Authorities.

Why Do We Need Positive Education?

“Imagine if schools could… teach both the skills of wellbeing & achievement. Imagine Positive Education”

(Seligman et al, 2009)

Research shows Positive Psychology enhances many different aspects of teacher wellbeing and has a positive impact on others (Shu-Hua Yeh & Barrington, 2023).

Other research shows that Positive Psychology results in significantly higher student well-being as well as improved performance in exams (Adler, 2016).

Here are just some of the reasons to choose HAPPI:
